About Light in the Waiting

Little Voices for God is a small corner of the internet for Christian songs for children, the kind you can sing in the car, at bedtime, or on a Sunday morning. Every song is original, written for small voices, with the lyrics on screen so children can sing along and the scripture each one grows from.

Light in the Waiting is the home for those songs on the web, and for longer writing about the Gospel: hope, prayer, faith, and what it means to trust God in the waiting seasons of life.

Who makes this

Light in the Waiting is made by Emmanuel Musafiri, a father living in Ottawa, Canada. He writes the Bible stories and the Faith for All reflections, and makes the songs of Little Voices for God.

It began at home, with the questions children ask at bedtime and the songs that help them settle. Some of the stories here started exactly that way, with a child asking something simple and hard at the same time. The aim has stayed the same since: to tell the stories of Scripture so a small child can follow them, and to write honestly for the grown-ups who are waiting on God for something.

Using our stories, songs and articles

Everything on this site, the Bible story cards and their illustrations, the articles, and the songs and lyrics, is original work, and all rights are reserved.

You are welcome to read, sing and share links to any page. Song lyrics may be printed for singing in homes, churches, Sunday schools and classrooms, and the free colouring pages are made to be printed as often as you like.

Made for children, safe for children

The YouTube channel is set as Made for Kids, so comments and personalised ads are switched off on every video. Videos on this site are embedded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which sets no tracking cookies until you press play.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of any kind, and there is no analytics company involved. We keep a simple daily count of how many times each page was opened, which site the visit came from, whether it was a phone or a computer, and the country. Those counts are totals only. No account, no profile, no address and nothing that could identify you or your child is recorded, and the counts are never shared or sold.
